Questions God Asks

The power of a question: The most powerful person in the room is the person asking the questions. The person asking the question is the person who sets the agenda, who compels others to show their hand, who calls out others contributions to solving the problem. An effective sermon begins by raising a compelling question in the minds of the listeners. Leading a good Bible study isn’t about knowing all the right answers, it’s about asking good questions. A good counselor doesn’t give advice. A good counselor asks good questions that help a client discover a better way forward. Questions draw people out. Questions stimulate thinking and creativity. Questions compel people, but most importantly, questions lead to dialogue and dialogue leads to relationship. So we should not be surprised that our God is asking us questions. Through this series we are going to consider seven (?) questions God asks to us.
